    Larry

Larry the donkey is one of the best loved characters at the farm. Larry is about 15 years old and is still young as donkeys can live to be 60! He is also the farm’s leading TV star, having featured on BBC and ITV and Google. He has also taken part in a nativity parade at Westminster Cathedral. You’ll find Larry larking about with the calves in the field, or munching the hay in his stable.

He is one of the best behaved donkey’s we’ve ever known and is amazing at bonding with children. His ‘eeeh-orre’ sound is made when he takes a deep intake of breath and then breathes out through his nose!

    Did you know…

Donkeys have a very tough digestive system that can break down almost inedible vegetation and at the same time extract and save as much moisture as possible.

Donkeys can hear another Donkey braying up to 30 miles away!

    Clover

Clover, our new donkey, is a companion for Larry, as he was getting a bit lonely here. Donkeys tend to hang out in groups in the wild. She is being trained to pull a cart and we are hoping to have cart rides later in the year when her confidence has grown. A big thank you to Bethnal Green Technology College who helped fundraise for her.
