The Garden is open all year round to the public.
It is divided into several sections such as the orchard area, with apple, pear and plum trees, and the bog garden filled with wetland plants. Living Walls of beautiful plants throughout the garden area really bring it to life. A large part of the garden is given over to raised beds in which we grow vegetables and at the top end of the garden we have a selection of herb beds, with many different varieties including types of mint, sage, thyme and marjoram. And there is the part where we have the animals, from cows, horses, goats to even the best chicken coop so people can see the chickens and chicks pretty easily.
Volunteer in the garden
Our garden is looked after by a team of hardworking volunteers who help in all aspects of maintaining the gardens such as weeding, watering and planting. The volunteer sessions are for adults, and are held every week on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2pm until 4pm.
Places on these sessions are limited so if you are interested in joining us please email our volunteer coordinators – firstname.lastname@example.org – and they will send you a registration form.
