The Farm is one of the Providers for Regents Collage Key Stage 3 & 4, The Farm takes up to 10 young people from the ages of 13 to 16 who are not in mainstream schools within Hackney and offers them a varied curriculum mainly based around Foundation Learning. Step up Awards.
In particular we focus on personal development and life skills and teach Numeracy and Literacy lessons in 1:1 sessions. Our students prepare for NOCN Functional Skills Certificates at Entry Level and Level 1, the possibility of English and Maths GCSEs, the opportunity to study Animal Husbandry and Land based studies, outdoor activities and sports as well as environmental, practical and creative projects, Home economics & cooking.
Last academic year 09/10 We worked on the ASDAN Functional Skills certificate in Math & English we are proud to announce that 90% of our students achieved this award. We have put several students passing GCSE Maths one with a B this year. We spend a lot of time on pastoral care, taking every opportunity to provide a safe fun learning informative environment. We have been established since December 2005.
