Hackney City Farm are seeking donations of used, rinsed and opened tetra paks – those 1 litre size paks usually for oat milk or coconut milk with a foil inside layer.
They will be used as Tetra Tiles for a new roof we will be creating using 1200 re-purposed tetra paks. Do drop these off at the farm, rinsed, carefully cut and flattened, please. I attach our project drawing for full instructions:
Your help is greatly appreciated – cafes I am collecting from have bulk used tetra paks– but limited time to prepare these. Your clean and flat contributions will really help us.
There are collection boxes in the new Farm shop Get Loose (social enterprise, responsibly sourced groceries, milk, spices etc – take your own jars/milk bottles!) and on Farm. Or check in the Farm Office.
Thanks also to Growing Communities who have spread the word on their wonderful newsletter: ( Also check out their lovely recipes) : https://www.
Please forward this email to others who may use tetra paks and be prepared to help us re-purpose.
Hackney City Farm is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10- 4pm.
